Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She first competed at the junior national championships of Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. At her first international meet that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an adult. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career as an entertainment professional in her teens, when she performed as the figure skating duo of their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's first job was in entertainment in her teens. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. These shows included ice skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
